Carving a niche for herself by interweaving intellect and social awareness with the essence of pure, unadulterated hip hop, she consistently provides a welcome breath of fresh air. No stranger to the elements and culture of hip hop, staHHr has earned stripes and sharpened her sword in street ciphers, mc battles (Blaze, The Source, Red Bull, etc.) and performing on local, national and global stages. During the course of her career, this verbal vanguard has accumulated a global fan base and an impressive resume of releases that include MF DOOM's “Mm Food” and “Born Like This”, King Geedorah‘s "Take Me to Your Leader", The Micranots “Obelisk Movements” and C-rayz Walz’s historic 15 minute long “Chorus Collection”.
Memphis-born and Atlanta-based, staHHr is an integral part of the Atlanta Hip Hop community, member of the Universal Zulu Nation (Atlantis Chapter) and formerly the lone feminine component of the Subverse Music and Metal Face Records rosters. Although she’s been releasing music and performing with other artists for close to two decades, it wasn’t until 2008 that she unleashed her debut solo album “Almost Neva Was” via the Beatvizion Music digital imprint. Renown for her phenomenal spontaneous freestyle ability, high energy and lyrics that embody the essence of the “Golden Era Future”, this sister has more than earned those “two H’s for hip hop” in her attribute. staHHr has spit 24K gold bars, shared stages, and/or studio time with the likes of: Del, MF Doom, KRSONE, John Robinson, Lewis Parker, El Da Sensei, Medusa, Jasiri X, Luciano, Amiri Baraka, Paten Locke, Punchline, Homeboy Sandman, Boot Camp Clik, Talib Kweli, Immortal Technique, J-Live, Brother J (X-Clan), C-rayz Walz, Invincible, Cymarshall Law, One Be Lo, Company Flow, I Self Devine, NY OIL, Dilated Peoples and Prof. Griff. I am shooting the final scene for my first video "Still Dope", a song that is featured on DOOM's "Born Like This" album. I need my Rastafari, FTP, M.O.B.B., BAOC, MAMA'S ARMY, Nation of Gods and Earths, Zulu Nation, Ausar Auset, Hip Hop, unaffiliated, etc ALL of my families, friends and supporters to be there!! The shoot will take place during the Marcus Garvey RBG Family Reunion at Indian Creek Lodge, around 3 or 4 pm Sunday August 16th. I look forward to seeing you… Continue
